| Bypasses UBP Automatic discharge valves with alternatively hydraulic or manual actuation. Installed as a separate unit between extruder and head, they serve for the diversion of the melt stream to the open and simultaneously for the pressure release inside the crosshead. Besides the drive modus, differences between the various types are made also with regard to the diameter of the flow channel, which is determined by the head sizes, and with regard to the design of the bleeding bore, axial or diagonal, subject to the bypass positioning. Description: From the type specification of the bypasses series UBP, design and function can be seen. Function: R = by rotation of the bypasses piston 3 / 30 / 70 = by axial displacement of the piston Flow channel: 8 / 10/ 12 / 15 / 25 / 30 = diameter of the flow channel in mm Drive: M = with manual actuaion H = with hydraulic cylinder 100 / 125 = with pneumatic cylinder with 100 / 125 mm diameter. Bypasses are available for all head types and sizes, inclusive fluoro crossheads. |
| Cartridge Extraction Device CED The CED helps to simplify extraction, cleaning and reinstallation of distribution cartridges. This reduces the time involved in these processes and adds considerable safety factors to both operators and equipment. The extraction device always comes with support trolley type UHT-2, so that support trolley and extraction device and crosshead are thus forming a compact but mobile unit. Design and function The CED consists of the following main components.
